Both baseball leagues required coaches to attend NAYS certification workshops. The football league required coaches to be certified through American Youth Football. Eastern Cal Ripken League made parent training a mandatory part of enrollment for players. Western Cal Ripken League offered optional parent training. Each baseball league offered an enrollment discount funded by Kidcentric Sports for players whose parents attended the training. Kidcentric Sports offered a Challenge Grant to the baseball leagues which provided a full match on all funds raised provided the league’s raise at least $6,500. Fundraising guidance was offered to all three leagues including the idea of selling outfield signs on the Eastern Cal Ripken League fields which has been implemented and the annual Sportsman Tribute Dinner which has been adopted by Kids Football League. |
